Heroes of the DayDecember 2016

Each month, we receive hundreds of submissions from families all over the world, sharing their stories as well as photos of their children. If you would like to feature your child as the Hero of the Day, send us a photo of them to our Facebook page.

This is my little boy Brody who recently lost his life because his nervous system shut down and his lung burst. My son was born with a hemorrhage in his brain from my delivery. At 7 weeks he went 13 minutes without oxygen and by the grace of God was brought back. He was a spastic quad, was blind, couldn’t walk nor talk and survived over 65 aspiration pneumonias. He was a miracle from God and never should of survived. We called him super Brody, because he had the strength of 100 grown men and was a fighter. He passed away October 30 over 2 years ago. He was and is my everything. I miss him so much.

I nominate Mason for amazing person of the day. Mason has cp, he strives every day to get better at walking with therapy, loves to learn, and has the most amazing ambition. He loves live, himself and his family. Love, Mom, dad, two other brothers and sister!

Jon Luke

This is my gorgeous 3 year old Jon Luke Hayes, from Clarksville TN. He has CP and SPD. I think he should be hero of the day because he is the strongest, sweetest little boy and he is my Hero!

I would like to nominate my son Oakley; he is six years old and fights cp as hard as he can every day. He is our hero!!

Madison (Maddie) is my hero! She is 16 years old and loves music, tape measures and anything yellow. She always has a smile on her face no matter what the world throws at her!

I just wanted to give you an update on my Mitchell. He just turned 19 in November, and now he’s in college starting a new journey. This young man was never expected to walk or crawl, let alone do much in school. By the grace of God and his strong will, he has overcome so many barriers and struggles in his life to become a tough, protective young man. I am SO proud of him! He’s not just walking; he’s driving, and heading successfully into adulthood. He is truly an inspiration!!
