Vince Dooley's Grandson Meets New Best Friend

The grandson of Vince Dooley hasn’t let Cerebral Palsy slow him down and is hoping man’s best friend will help him overcome his disability.

Matthew Dooley is a persistent young man who usually figured out a way to get things done. Despite his wheelchair, the 3rd year student at Athens Tech has conquered skydiving and now has his sights set on an even higher purpose for him and his new best friend.

Matthew, 20, and 22-month-old Presto had an instant bond.

“Once he got out to meet me he was like loving me and jumping on me and I was like you know what that’s the dog for me,” said Matthew.

And so the work at Canine Assistants in Milton begins as Matthew and his new Golden Retriever service dog get to know each other.
