Anchors Aweigh Charters, Inc. – No Cost Fishing Charters for Special Needs – Amelia Island
Anchors Aweigh Charters, Inc., based in Fernandina Beach, Amelia Island, Florida is a non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization that provides no cost fishing charters to those with permanent physical and/or developmental disabilities as well as those diagnosed with a terminal illness.
Their modified 36 foot charter boat, Ye Ole Pirate, includes a wheelchair ramp, a large number of extra handholds and several other accessibility enhancements. Anchors Aweigh Charters offers sunset and nature tours, fishing inshore to jetties, and fetties to 20 miles offshore.
