Satanta District Hospital was established in 1952 serving the community with 13 licensed beds. Our most recent transformation came in August 2000 when our facility became a "Critical Access Hospital," with our access hub being St. Catherine's Hospital in Garden City, Kansas. We currently have capabilities for 13 acute/swing beds and 44 long-term care beds. Additional Services include:

Senior Adult Outpatient- Transportation Provided, – The senior adult population and their caregivers have unique problems and needs. Physical decline, loss of independence, safety concerns and multiple losses are just a few of the concerns that require special attention and contribute to depression and other mental health issues for the elderly. Our outpatient program provides quality care that stresses the importance of dignity, respect, and confidentiality. We offer group, individual and family counseling as well as follow-up services.
