Metro Parks Tacoma Adaptive Recreation Programs
Metro Parks Tacoma Adaptive Recreation Programs provide recreational, social and athletic opportunities for people with physical disabilities, along with their friends, and their families.
Adaptive Recreation are sports and recreation opportunities for people with physical disabilities but is open to all. It is different from our Specialized Recreation program where we cater to people with all types of disabilities – specifically people with intellectual disabilities.

Adapt to Achieve Series: Join us the first Saturday of each month for a new activity! Activities we have planned are bowling, archery, tennis, cycling, arts and crafts, wheelchair basketball and more! Call our Adaptive Recreation team at 253.404.3955 to register.
Adapt to Achieve Day Camp – July 10th-14th, 2017
Youth Wheelchair Basketball – August through March
Strength & Conditioning – January through August Mondays 5:30-6:30pm at STAR Center
Goalball – September through October and January through April
Archery – April through September
Beep Baseball – Clinics year round
Kayaking – May through September
Cycle/Bike Rides – April through September
Swimming – Metro Aquatics year round.
Sitting Volleyball – Clinics year round
Boccia – Clinics year round
