Southern Maine Parent Awareness  (SMPA)  is an organization dedicated to providing information, referral support and education to families who have children and youth with special needs throughout Maine.
Serving Families of Children and Youth with Special Needs in Maine,  Southern Maine Parent Awareness helps families expand opportunities and enhance the quality of life of their children and young adults with disabilities.  SMPA provides Information and referral on special education, disability and community resources.  Individualized family conferences. Assistance in preparing for IFSP/IEP meetings. Provides workshops on education related issues
