My CP Hero
sharing stories about heroes within the community
We make it a goal to honor and recognize those within our community that serve as symbols of strength and resilience. Living with CP or raising a child with CP brings a unique perspective to life and often births wonderful stories of positivity that inspire us all. Every month, we feature a CP Hero within our community to bring encouragement and hope.

Featured CP Hero, Alex
Meet our son Alex, our hero! Alex is 7 years old with Spastic Diplegic CP. His smile lights up a room and brightens anyone’s day. He has a twin brother Evan and together they keep us on our toes! Alex continues to push himself to do things we weren’t sure he would ever be able to do and he has taught us to never give up and never stop believing.
Featured CP Hero, Finn
This is my son Finn. He is a 6-year-old with spastic quad CP. He’s the strongest person I know. He starts and ends every day with a smile, even when you can tell he’s experiencing pain, he smiles through it. His laugh is infectious. He has changed so many minds when it comes to his cognitive capabilities. I never expected to be a parent of a special needs child but now that I am, there is nothing I would change about Finn!
Featured CP Hero, Brandy
My cerebral palsy Hero is my sister Brandy. My parents found out with about a month and a half left in her pregnancy that they were having triplets. When Brandy was delivered, she had a loss of oxygen that caused CP. Growing up was a blast with her. Now that we’re 35 years old, I look back at the memories and what I have learned from her. She never let the bad get to her. She always just smiles and giggles. She truly makes an impact on whoever crosses her path.
