Cerebral Palsy Hero 11/8/22 – Erica

Say hello to today’s #CPHero, Erica! Erica was a member of the class of 2021, and did social graduation with her friends, but deferred her diploma to take advantage of the great transition program at her high school for two more years. Her favorite subject is Science, and she loves using her iPad to stay connected with friends and listen to music. Erica participates in Special Olympics bowling and Miracle League baseball. She will leave school in May 2023 and is shopping around for day programs and working on finding some part-time job and volunteer opportunities. She is anxious about this big transition, but her family is proud of her for wanting to pursue job possibilities despite her physical challenges and confident they will find places for her to contribute to and belong in their community!
