Cerebral Palsy Hero 4/10/25 – Lucas

Let’s welcome back returning #CPHero, Lucas! Now 16 and a sophomore in high school, Lucas was diagnosed with spastic hemiplegia cerebral palsy when he was three years old. He wears an AFO brace and has had physical issues as well as learning difficulties, but you wouldn’t know it after getting to know him. He works hard for everything he’s accomplished. He’s earned a black belt in karate (a 10-year journey), still participates in BMX and the boys’ choir at school, made the track and field team, and is still a straight-A student. He always has a positive attitude and doesn’t allow anything to slow him down. He believes in the Mamba mentality—that facing adversity and pushing through it is crucial for achieving greatness.
