Cerebral Palsy Hero 4/16/26 – Philip

Today we’re proud to welcome an incredible #CPHero, Philip! After hearing grim prognoses from doctors early in his life, his mother made a powerful decision—she told caregivers to stop predicting his lifespan.

Today, Philip is 62 years old and living a happy life. “We have been truly blessed to have Philip in our lives for far longer than anyone expected,” says his brother, Mark.

Though Philip lives with profound physical and intellectual disabilities, he embraces the things he loves—going to the movies, “bowling” (in his own way), playing slots at the casino (with surprising skill), and watching his favorite TV shows.
