Cerebral Palsy Hero 4/20/23 – Mila

Everyone say hi to today’s #CPHero, Mila! This 7-year-old an incredibly sweet disposition, is very affectionate, and is known for being an amazing cuddle bug! She and her twin sister, Mina, were born 3 months early due to complications from TTTS and spent 9 weeks in the NICU. Mila suffered a brain injury at birth which led to her CP diagnosis at 16 months and autism at 6 years old. She is nonverbal but loves to laugh and make happy squeals. She is also immobile but can army crawl and sit on her own on the floor. She can also take a few assisted steps.

Some of Mila’s favorite things include her blankies, vibrating and chew toys, food (especially fruit), swinging, playing in water, and most of all music! She is most content just relaxing and listening to her favorite songs. She’s a big fan of anything with a good beat and loves to “dance” by moving her head side to side with a huge smile on her face.
