Ability Center of Virginia (Formerly Cerebral Palsy of VA)
Ability Center of Virginia (formerly Cerebral Palsy of Virginia) was established in April 1984 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in the Commonwealth of Virginia, with the goal to provide programs and services to support the needs of children and adults with cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities.
Programs and services emphasize inclusion, independence, social skills and positive relationships between all individuals, regardless of their abilities. Ability Center of Virginia delivers programs and services to children and adults with disabilities throughout Hampton Roads, the Peninsula, Virginia’s Eastern Shore and the Commonwealth of Virginia. Currently over 520 families receive programs and services from the organization. Many families with a family member that has a disability do not have the financial resources to pay for the programs but no one is ever turned away.
