Activities Created for Enrichment (ACE)

"Special Needs Summer Camp 

Activities Created for Enrichment (ACE) is designed for children ages 5-21 years old who have severe or profound developmental disabilities. 

Program Schedule

ACE Summer Camp programming includes eight full-week sessions from June to August, with drop-off / pick-up times being scheduled from 7:30 am to 8:30 am and from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm. Activities include arts, crafts, games, music, movements, swimming, and field trips. 

Staffing

Staff to participant ratio is 1:2, and each staff member has been screened, trained especially for this camp, and has experience with kids who have disabilities. 

Funding

ACE is funded through a purchase of service agreement through Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare; Roanoke County Parks, Recreation, and Tourism; and the City of Roanoke Parks and Recreation. "
