Alaska Pediatric Physical Therapy
Alaska Pediatric Physical Therapy specializes in physical, occupational and speech therapy for children, ages 0 -21. We enjoy working with children of all abilities and needs. Our mission is to help children maximize their potential through effective programs that increase independence, develop and enhance functional skills, and accelerate progress. We provide services at our clinic, in the home (as needed), and at a community based pool for aquatic therapy. Following an initial evaluation we can recommend what services may fit your child's needs best.
Treatment may be indicated for developmental delays (mild to more severe) of unknown or known causes; for diagnoses associated with Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Spina Bifida, Arthrogryposis, Autism, Developmental Coordination Disorder, as well as orthopedic and sports injuries. We help children develop functional and gross motor skills through strengthening exercises, stretching, balance activities, play therapy, and home activity recommendations. Our goal is to serve and support families of children with physical therapy needs without overwhelming or over burdening them.
Please contact AKPPT @ 907-727-5624 if you feel your child would benefit from our services or if you were referred by your physician or health care provider.
