For many teens with disabilities, there are limited outdoor opportunities available, such as hayrides, swimming in a lake, or telling stories around a campfire. Anne Carlsen Center believes each person should experience as many unique opportunities as is possible, and utilizes one week each summer to turn summer dreams into reality.  TechnoCamp, the one week camp held each year at Elks Camp Grassick, supports and enhances the campers’ use of communication systems and technology to allow them to participate fully in the camping experience. The technology focus provides individuals the opportunity to further develop skills with technology adaptations. Mixed with functional learning activities are camp favorites including pontoon rides, a camp-wide talent show, crafts, and recreation activities.
