"The Aquadome Recreation Center provides many recreational opportunities for children, teens, and adults. Adults may begin their weeks with a morning fitness class or a workout in the wellness room. Others may choose to swim with the Healthy Lifestyles Aquatic Program to energize their week. The gymnasium is available for free play basketball, volleyball and pickleball. League play is seasonal and for a variety of ages and divisions. Gymnastics are offered for children ages four years and above. Several groups and organizations host weekly or monthly meetings at the Center.

Therapeutics provide recreational activities to assist special needs individuals with social skills, behavioral rehabilitation, speech, motor skills and many areas of emotional support in order to improve their quality of life.  The staff  of the Aquadome Recreation Center Therapeutics program of the Decatur Parks and Recreation Department are educated and trained to engage special needs individuals with a variety of recreational activities.
