The Arc of St. Clair County is commited to supporting and protecting the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and advocating for their full inclusion and participation in the community.  The Arc represents the only community based non-profit throughout the nation working for people with I/DD throughout their lifetimes and across all diagnosis-from Autism to Down Syndrome to Fragile X and more than 100 other developmental disabiltiies.

Services:
Child & Families Advocacy In the Schools – Our Child advocate works with parents, students and schools to ensure every child can realize their right to a free and equal education.  
Adult Advocacy – Our adult advocates focus on the needs of the individual in order to help them attain the life they envision for themselves. From person centered planning facilitation to social security benefits administration, we look at the individual and not their disability.
Inclusive Recreation – The Arc’s, Inclusive Recreation Program, seeks to provide the least restrictive and inclusive recreation experiences for people with intellectual and developmental disabilites, through creative programming and by working with exisitng recreational programs
