Head injury

Fractured hips

Spinal cord injury

Neurological disorders

Major multiple trauma

Amputation

Osteoarthritis

Other debilitating conditions resulting in loss of independence in self-care and mobility

Common impairments addressed in therapy include:

Cognitive (thinking skills) deficits

Loss of mobility or difficulty walking

Loss of coordination and balance

Difficulty with speech and language

Swallowing difficulties

Loss of bowel and/or bladder control

Difficulty with everyday activities, i.e. eating, grooming, dressing, bathing and homemaking skills"
