A chapter of disabled Sports USA, Blue Ridge Adaptive Snow Sports, Inc. (BRASS)  is a non profit organization whose mission is to enhance the lives of people with disabilities through adaptive snow sports and recreational opportunities. At Blue Ridge Adaptive Snow Sports, Inc., (BRASS) we believe sports and recreation can improve the quality of life for people with disabilities and our mission is to do that through adaptive snow sports. Skiing and snowboarding empowers us. BRASS is led and run by volunteers dedicated to creating opportunities for people with disabilities to enjoy freedom of movement and the outdoor.
 

Offers instruction for all disability disciplines. Our highly trained volunteer team includes instructors certified by PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America) as well as those training for certification. Kudos especially goes to the BRASS team’s off-snow helpers who keep things running smoothly all season long. We offer instruction for all disability disciplines which are divided into three categories:

• Blind/DD
• Stand-up Skiing
• Sit-Down Skiing.

Adaptive lessons are available on weekends by reservation. Sign up for a lesson online and bring the required forms. We strongly recommend students contact their physician before signing up for a skiing or snowboarding lesson.
