The Brunswick Explorer is a public-private partnership with funding provided by the Federal Transit Administration, Maine DOT, Community Transportation Association of America, the Town of Brunswick and other local partners including Sweetser, Bowdoin College, Mid Coast Hospital, United Way of Mid Coast Maine and Brunswick Housing Authority.

The new Brunswick Explorer provides public transit service throughout Brunswick. Our buses are easy to use and easy on the environment. They are hybrid electric for less emissions and lower fuel consumption.  Buses run hourly, Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. For work, for shopping, for school or just for fun…Brunswick Explorer is the bus for everyone. Brunswick Explorer buses offer easy accessibility for everyone. Their low floor design and wheelchair ramp make it easy to board even with a wheelchair, walker, or stroller.

Brunswick Explorer buses are wheelchair accessible and have bike racks. The bus may deviate up to ¾ mile off the route upon request.  Bike racks on the front of the bus means you can bring your bike along. Please note that bike racks can accommodate up to two bicycles and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
