Buffalo Therapeutic Riding Center (BTRC)
The Buffalo Therapeutic Riding Center is the only indoor riding facility uniquely located in the heart of the city of Buffalo, and has been the site of a therapeutic riding program for 10 years.
The BTRC currently offers programs for mentally and emotionally impaired, learning disabled and developmentally challenged children ages 6 to 18. The classes are limited to four students to enforce a safe and fun experience.
Each class is designed to achieve special goals that meet the requirements of the group and the individual. Programs are designed and taught by a member of the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH). Volunteers are always needed and are an invaluable part of the program. They can assist with horse care, handling or serving as a friend.
