Campbell County Wyoming Children’s Developmental Services
Children’s Developmental Services of Campbell County consists of three interrelated components:
Early Intervention
Early Childhood Education/Full Day & Half Day
Preschool Early Head Start Program
What we do:
Provide quality inclusive environments for disabled and non-disabled children to interact and participate in a regular classroom setting.
Provide preschool / early education services for working parents, serving children ages 2 1/2 through 5.
Provide Early Head Start services for pregnant women, infants, toddlers and their families, in home-based, interactive settings. Provide evaluations and planning in partnership with parents.
Provide quality preschool for children ages 3 through 5.
Provide services that are available through either a home bound or center program.
Screen infants and young children for possible delays in development.
All services (Early Education, Preschool, Early Intervention, Early Head Start) are provided 12 months a year. This allows for continuity for child, families and staff; there is also less regression for children over the summer months. Children aged birth through five grow and develop so quickly – and with the elimination of three months of service per year, this could be a significant regression factor. Babies are born 12 months out of the year, and doctors, nurses, public health, parents, hospital staff and DFS need to be able to refer at point of need.
