Center for Hearing and Communication
The Center for Hearing and Communication provides hearing health services to people of all ages who have a hearing loss. With offices in New York City and Florida, CHC meets all of your hearing and communication needs through professional services that offer the highest level of clinical expertise and technical know-how available in the hearing healthcare field. Mission
The Center for Hearing and Communication's mission is to improve the quality of life for infants, children and adults with all degrees of hearing loss.
We accomplish our mission by providing hearing rehabilitation and human services for people who are hard of hearing or deaf, and their families, regardless of age, ability to pay, or mode of communication, and by striving to empower consumers to achieve their potential.
Our leadership is exemplified by adhering to the highest clinical standards, conducting extensive hearing conservation and public education programs about hearing, and developing best practice models for disciplines that relate to hearing and communication.
Services Offered at our New York Location:
Shelley and Steven Einhorn Audiology Center- State-of-the-art hearing testing and hearing aid fitting, special expertise in evaluating and providing hearing aids to very young infants and children, free hearing screenings, tinnitus therapy, Mobile Hearing Test Unit, assistive devices training and more.
Shelley and Steven Einhorn Communication Center – Renowned speech and listening therapy program for children with hearing loss, speechreading (lipreading) for adults, cochlear implant rehabilitation for adults and children, cochlear implant support group, parenting counseling and more.
Emotional Health and Wellness Center- Individual, couple, family and group therapy; evaluations; therapeutic support groups; case management services; crisis intervention; parent counseling; and more.
Community Outreach- Mobile Audiological Unit, Family Resource Center, advocacy, Parent's Guide, and other educational materials.
Auditory Processing Center – Consultation, evaluation, intervention and therapy for Auditory Processing Disorder (APD) and other listening and learning challenges.
Berelson Hearing Technology Center – Dispensing, sales and repair of hearing aids and FM systems; assitive devices; custom earmolds, hearing protection & headphones.
