Child Health Specialty Clinics is a public health program serving children with special health care needs and their families. Specialty clinics are located in 13 areas around the state of Iowa.

For over 50 years, these clinics have served children and youth (birth through age 21) who live in Iowa. They may have a chronic condition (physical, developmental, behavioral, or emotional) or have increased risk for a chronic condition and have a need for special services.

Child Health Specialty Clinics also help families find and organize other local services their children may need, including home care, family-to-family support, insurance coverage, child care, and school health. Child Health Specialty Clinics work closely with other state and local organizations that help families and encourage family participation in the care of their children.
