Children’s Bone & Spine Surgery is the only exclusively pediatric orthopedic surgery practice in Nevada. Children are not just little adults, and injuries in children frequently require different therapeutic options than those used in adults. Unique differences requiring different treatments include growing bones with open growth plates, more sensitive articular cartilage, and injuries related to growth spurts. Diagnosis of these injuries is not always straight-forward, and because they are less common, they are often missed.
