"CompuWrite is a writing camp using assistive technology/computer for rising 3rd through rising 9th grade students. The primary focus of the camp is to work with students having difficulty in the writing process. The teacher/student ratio is typically 1:3. CompuWrite blends technology and writing! Students work on the five stages of writing by combining writing strategies and technology tools.
Brainstorming
Drafting
Revising
Editing
Production
Teachers of CompuWrite ""make writing fun"" by enhancing the writing process using technology. We take information from parents and schools prior to camp and make decisions with parents about particular individual focus areas. We then apply the principles of writing using available technology to facilitate the writing process. The available technology includes scanners, cameras, latest software, voice output software, and the Internet."
