Founded in 1853 and incorporated in 1860, the Portland YMCA is the twelfth oldest of the 2,283 YMCA's in the United States and the largest in Maine.  Our historic facility is home to two pools, the beautiful Studio A classroom, a fitness facility, a gym, four recently renovated courts, 3 for squash and 1 flex court, and many other amenities. 

The Cumberland County YMCA offers our 11,000 members an opportunity to enjoy and participate in a community that is based on the development of healthy relationships. Last year, 20,035 people, including 6,228 children, were involved in active and healthy living activities at the YMCA.

Adaptive Services – The Adaptive Services Program serves many people within our community.  People travel from as far north as Lisbon and as far south as Kennebunk to take part in our program at the Casco Bay Branch of the YMCA of Southern Maine.
