Disability Resource Group
The Disability Resource Group is a private, 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are funded in part by the Southeast Disability and Business Technical Assistance Center (DBTAC). The Southeast Disability and Business Technical Assistance Centers are funded by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research.
Since its inception as the ADA Exchange, the organization has continued to grow in mission and membership, both individual and corporate. Here are just some of the ways Disability Resource Group helps the community:
Provide telephone support, guidance, and resource information
Develop and distribute disability rights resources
Produce easy to read and understand materials on a variety of disability topics. Example: Live Your Dreams Brochure
Raise awareness in refugee and immigrant communities about available resources and opportunities for individuals with disabilities
Conduct workshops on topics such as: ADA overviews and employment issues, providing good customer service for people with disabilities and advocacy training for individuals with disabilities
