Easter Seals New York provides programs and services to children and adults with disabilities and other special needs, and their families.  Our goal is to help individuals with special needs gain dignity, equality and independence. We provide the highest quality services in the most caring and cost-effective manner.  Our staff and volunteers have a long-standing commitment to serve those for whom no other resources exist. 




Medical Rehabilitation: Promoting Independence and Quality of Life
Whether through a birth condition, injury or illness, or because of functional limitations experienced in aging, Easter Seals New York medical rehabilitation services — including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-hearing therapy and early intervention — are the first step toward helping people with disabilities gain greater independence.


Inclusive Child Care: Providing a Learning Environment for Children and Peace of Mind for Parents
Meeting a growing need for high-quality child care for more local  children and their working parents, Easter Seals New York offers child care for children ages 6 months to 5 years. Easter Seals New York Child Development Centers  children offer unique environments where children of all abilities learn together.


Camping and Recreation: Having Fun, Making Friends, Mastering Skills, Expanding Independence
Camp is about all the things children and adults can do — play basketball, canoe, sing, ride ponies, and more. Easter Seals New York's camping programs provide a safe, barrier-free environment for children to experience all aspects of camp without usual limitations. We also offer recreational programs, including a competitive quad rugby sports team, and adult physical education programs. 


Education Services: Providing Quality Education for New York's Children
Easter Seals New York Education Services include our integrated preschools, and After School programs throughout New York State.  Our integrated preschools provide the opportunity for general education preschoolers, and preschoolers with disabilities or special needs, the opportunity to develop and learn together.  Each of our After School programs work closely with the local school districts. 


Residential Services: Enhanced Independence and Community Living
Easter Seals New York Residential Services meet the needs of people with disabilities while offering enhanced independence in a community living environment.  We have several different facilities offering different degrees of residential care.


Comprehensive Medical Services: Serving the Needs of the Rochester, New York Community
Easter Seals New York's Diagnostic and Treatment Center, located in Rochester, is a comprehensive primary care and mental health clinic that serves children and adults with physical and developmental disabilities in New York's Western Region. 


Job Training & Employment Services: Finding a Job and Contributing to Your Community
Easter Seals New York offers Job Training and Employment Services for out of work, mature workers, through our Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP). SCSEP is a multidimentional job-training program that helps individuals gain the necessary skills to train for and locate a job.
