Easter Seals Santa Maria El Mirador
Easter Seals, the leading national non-profit provider of services for people with disabilities, recently welcomed Santa Maria El Mirador to its national network of affiliates. Soon to be known as Easter Seals Santa Maria El Mirador, the Santa Fe, New Mexico non-profit has been providing critical services to individuals with disabilities in the local community for nearly 35 years.
“We are thrilled to introduce Santa Maria El Mirador to Easter Seals’ family of 90-plus affiliates across the country, Puerto Rico and Australia,” said James E. Williams, Jr., president and chief executive officer, Easter Seals. “Through the new relationship, we’ll work to strengthen service offerings and build new opportunities for people living with disabilities in New Mexico.”
Santa Maria El Mirador’s mission is to provide rehabilitation services for individuals with developmental disabilities, focusing on housing, transitioning, and employment — helping approximately 300 adults with disabilities each year. Through fundraising and educational awareness campaigns, the organization values and promotes a dignified community life for individuals with developmental disabilities. Easter Seals mission is to provide exceptional services to ensure that all people with disabilities or special needs and their families have equal opportunities to live, learn, work and play in their communities.
