"Educational Service Unit 6 (ESU 6) is located in Milford, Nebraska and provides a variety of educational services. While all ESUs are mandated by the state to provide certain core services, ESU 6 also offers additional services requested by the member school districts. Simply stated, ESU 6 exists because of the collaboration of southeast Nebraska schools, the Nebraska Department of Education, and other key organizations. Through collaboration, school districts are able to achieve more for their students in an effective and efficient manner.
ESU 6 is an effective vehicle to bring together multiple districts and other organizations. By forming a network, ESU 6 promotes effective educational services and the continuous improvement of education for all students. We achieve our goals through the following measures:
ESU 6 obtains the greatest value by depending heavily on the superintendents of our districts and other school leaders to scrutinize all operations in terms of what could be done better collaboratively in order to share best practice and to increase cost efficiency.
ESU 6 constantly seeks ways in which it can share resources with others in ESUs in Nebraska.
ESU 6 reviews current practices to see if our services are effective and efficient.
ESU 6 is involved at region-wide level research programs and services that school districts can utilize.
ESU 6 school districts provide input and feedback to ESU 6 relative to the district's needs and requirements so that we may initiate programs and services that serve all of our districts and their students well.
