Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago
Created in 1946 as a grassroots effort in Illinois to help people with epilepsy, the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago is a not-for-profit, incorporated in Illinois, serving 43 counties, offering counseling, advocacy and educational services to people with epilepsy, their families, and the communities in which they live.
Programs and Services:
This year, the Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago added a wide array of new programs to our comprehensive list of services. We will continue to provide support with our existing programs such as the Seizure Smart Schools Education Initiative, and Camp Blackhawk.
As we strive to expand and improve our impact on the epilepsy community, we have created additional programs that have been launched—and will continue to be launched—within the next few months. These programs include Seven Weeks of Wellness: Epilepsy & Healthy Living, Studio E: The Epilepsy Art Therapy Program, Advocacy Action: State Leaders Education Initiative, and ParentLink: Parent Partnership of Newly Diagnosed Children with Epilepsy, among others.
