Episcopal Camp and Conference Center
The Episcopal Conference Center belongs to everyone in our diocese. Generations of young people have come to ECC over the years to find a place that often becomes a second home to them. One of the ongoing themes at ECC is that we hope newcomers will "Come to Our Place, and Make it Yours!" ECC is located in the northwest corner of RI on 180 wooded acres filled with hiking trails. We are fortunate to border beautiful Echo Lake which provides us with a lovely beach as well as swimming and canoeing opportunities. Campers are happy to spend part of each day swimming and enjoying activities at the ECC waterfront under the supervision of our certified waterfront staff. Every day at ECC begins and ends with worship. Creative worship experiences designed with the help of young people who assist with leading songs, reading lessons, writing the prayers of the people or dramatizing the Gospel reading bring us closer to God as we actively express our faith. Clergy from around the diocese join us throughout the summer to celebrate the Eucharist and teach and share the Gospel message. At ECC young people are encouraged to explore their faith, ask the tough questions and grow into the person God created them to be. The experience of working and playing in community builds responsibility and a sense of ownership. Time spent working in the woods or sharing responsibility for the upkeep of the property brings us together. Laughter is a common sound at ECC as we share the good times at camp.
