Public transit bus and trolley service in Pensacola is provided by Escambia County Area Transit (ECAT). Whether touring downtown Pensacola, heading to the beach, or going to work, ECAT provides regularly scheduled service. ECAT currently has 1,500+ bus stops covering 285 miles of routes with a record 1.6 million annual passenger trips. Escambia County Area Transit (ECAT) has provided citizens with safe, convenient and affordable transportation throughout the Pensacola area. The ECAT system currently provides service through the fixed-route bus, seasonal Pensacola Beach trolley, University of West Florida (UWF) on-campus trolley and ADA paratransit transportation.
