Fairfield Center for disAbilities and Cerebral Palsy – OHIO
Fairfield Center for disAbilities and Cerebral Palsy, Inc. (FCDCP) offers non-medical transportation for adults with disabilities and medical transportation in-county and out-of-county, as well as transportation for other needs (shopping, banking, visitations and funerals for immediate family members.) The Transportation Department, under contractual agreements, transports for Meals on Wheels, Job & Family Services, Fairfield County Developmental Disabilities and Passport. The Center also qualified for Medicaid Ambulette Services. To qualify for Medicaid Ambulette services the client must be non-ambulatory and on Medicaid.
FCDCP’s Transportation Department currently employs one Transportation Coordinator, one full-time scheduler and 13 fully trained, caring drivers, who have undergone background checks, are certified in CPR, 1st Aid and Defensive Driving. FCDCP’s fleet of vehicles are wheelchair accessible.
FCDCP’s Adult Day Program offers a variety of programs and activities to assist adults with disabilities to progress, learn, grow, participate in the community, make new friends and have fun.
Home Modification Program – Our wheelchair ramp and home modification program provides Lancaster and Fairfield County residents with mobility disabilities an opportunity to regain the full use of their homes and property. The construction is performed by a large group of church volunteers called the SMART Team. The Center pays for the materials, utilizing funds from the CDBG Grant and River Valley Rods and Customs-Fund Raiser Rods for Ramps.
