Families First CEDARR Center
A CEDARR Family Center is a place where families get help and support for children with special needs. With CEDARR Family Centers, a family can: Learn more about their child’s disability or condition; Learn how to address their child’s needs now and in the future; Find resources in the community; Get information on a range of services and treatment options; Connect with other families who have had similar experiences. To be eligible for CEDARR Family Center services, a child must be eligible for Medical Assistance, under age 21, a Rhode Island resident, live at home and have a disabling or chronic condition that is cognitive, physical, developmental and/or psychiatric. In addition to the services listed above, the following may be available for children: Home Based Therapeutic Services; Kids Connect; Personal Assistance Services and Supports; Respite Program for Children. There is no cost to families.
