Family Connection, Inc
Family Connection was initially known as Shelby Youth Attention Lodge and later Shelby Youth Services and Attention Home. The agency began in 1976 through the generous support of community volunteers. It is through the generous support of volunteers, business leaders, and donors that Family Connection has been able to continue its mission of strengthening communities by building strong youth and families.
Family Connection has continued to grow to offer a variety of services for children, youth and families. Due to the increasing number of students and families requesting counseling assistance, a School Counseling Program began in 1982. Through this program, a Counselor is available to go into the public schools and provide counseling assistance to children and youth in crisis situations.
