Family Resources, a private not-for-profit organization, provides a vital continuum of services to children, youth and families. Our goal is to support the family as a whole and keep the family together.  When keeping the family together is not a safe option, Family Resources offers community-based programs that teach young people effective coping skills as they transition into adulthood and other safe living arrangements.  Since 1970, Family Resources has been the agency to turn to for crisis counseling, safe shelter and safe respite for runaway and homeless teens.  We are committed to making a difference in the lives of those who need our help and have no where else to turn.

For over 39 years, Family Resources has provided excellent service to the children and families of Pinellas and Pasco counties and for over 18 years, the Manatee county community.

Family Resources offers programs in both Pinellas and Manatee Counties.  We offer a range of services that give individuals, couples, parents, children and teenagers options in choosing their life path. For a quick reference of which county our programs are offered, click here

Independent Living Scholarship Funds
Family Resources operates two transitional living programs in Clearwater and St. Petersburg Florida.  Two local civic clubs have stepped forward to be the founding members of the Independent Living Scholarship Program.  For the Clearwater youth, the Rotary Club of Clearwater has established a fund called Kingfish Scholarship Fund.  The Northeast Exchange Club of St. Petersburg has established a fund for youth living in St. Petersburg.  Both of these funds will help young people obtain safe housing upon their graduation from the Transitional Living Program.  You may designate which fund you wish to support when you make a contribution.  Below is a description of the program and how young people benefit from your support.
