Family Support Network (FSN) – Montana
Family Support Network recognizes that children are the foundation of the future and that the family, as a basic unit of society, is the natural environment for the growth and development of all its members. Our agency seeks to provide intervention, support and assistance to children diagnosed with a mental illness and their families, as well as families and their children at risk for abuse or neglect. FSN recognizes the importance of parents in the lives of their children and seeks to help them access appropriate support and services and to educate them in appropriate, nurturing parenting techniques. Services: Supervised Visits – provide supervision for parents whose children have been removed; Home Visits – in home support for families at risk for abuse and neglect; Mental Health – for families with child with a mental illness (YBGR, DPHHS Region III). Over 60% of our staff has earned Bachelor’s degrees in Education, Human Service or related fields. Prior work experience of staff includes pre-school and child care experience, group home work, aid work in various school districts and many hours of community service to church and area non-profits. Currently, FSN staff partner with such agencies as Maternal Child Health, Drug Court, Early Childhood Intervention, Yellowstone Boys & Girls Ranch and In-Care. Several of our staff participate in the state System of Care Oversight Committee and the Yellowstone County Kid’s Management Advisory Committee.
