Fishing Has No Boundaries (FHNB)
Fishing Has No Boundaries®, Inc. (FHNB) is a non-profit 501-C3 organization whose goal is to open up the great outdoors for people with disabilities through the world of fishing. FHNB has grown into a National Organization with 23 chapters in 11 states, enabling thousands of individuals with disabilities to participate fully in this spirit lifting, morale booster, trouble free recreational activity. A Fishing Has No Boundaries®, Inc. event is truly an unforgettable way to spend a weekend on or near the lakeshore with a new friend, relative, neighbor, co-worker, or a much anticipated comrade in the thrill of catching that "big one" no matter the size.
South East Kansas Event (SEK) – The SEK Kansas Event is held at the Pearson-Skubitz Big Hill Lake at the Cherryvale Campground. Big Hill Lake is considered a trophy fishing lake and is well known by many local anglers.
Wheatland Event – The Wheatland Event hosts their annual event in September at the Kansas State Park on beautiful lake El Dorado. Situated in the southeast portion of Kansas, this majestic body of water offers the best of fishing and camping in the state. Chapter chair Barbara Marlnee in conjunction with staff from the Resource Center for Independent Living, Inc. in El Dorado put timeless hours into planning this angling opportunity. This promises to be a wonderful time for all participants.
