Golden Dreams
"Golden Dreams Therapeutic Riding Center started operating at Baileywyck Farm in Middleburg, VA in March 2007. After operating for almost three and a half years, the program has made a difference in the lives of many children and adults in Middleburg and in the surrounding communities.
We are members of the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA) and the Therapeutic Riding Association of Virginia (TRAV).
Individuals with almost any cognitive, physical and/or emotional disability can benefit from therapeutic riding through safe and supervised interaction with equines.
Riding lessons are taught by NARHA certified riding instructors assisted by up to three volunteers per rider. We currently provide services to twenty riders utilizing five horses and with the help of over twenty dedicated volunteers.
In addition to the riding lessons, Golden Dreams offers special needs programs for regional schools and awareness programs for schools and the community at large. We also participate annually in the Loudoun County Farm Tour. "
