The Commission objective is to ensure that all people with disabilities are afforded the opportunities to exercise all the rights and responsibilities accorded to citizens of this state and  each person with a disability is able to reach his/her maximum potential in independence, human development, productivity and self-sufficiency.The Commission makes sure that all people with disabilities can take part in all aspects of society. We push for human rights and services for all people with disabilities. We teach businesses and agencies how to reach out to their customers with disabilities. We educate on compliance with accessibility codes & Civil Rights of People with Disabilities. The Commission helps create more choices for people with disabilities to work. We help small businesses. We promote work and the use of work incentives. We offer fellowships for college students.
