"Hacienda HealthCare, through its affiliates, Hacienda, and Los Niños Hospital, is the leading provider of specialized services for medically fragile and chronically ill infants, children and young adults in Arizona. We provide a wide range of services including 24-hour nursing and respiratory care; physical, occupational and speech therapy programs; and social and dietary services. In order to provide as wide a range of experience and education as possible, adaptive equipment and individualized programming services are available to our clients at our South Mountain residential facility. Hacienda HealthCare also serves the needs of our clients’ families through training and educational programs, early intervention programs and respite care services that provide families with the opportunity to place their children at Hacienda for short periods of time while they sort out pressing family matters or resolve issues that may interfere with their ability to provide adequate care for their children at home.
For those infants, children and young adults with developmental disabilities who require a less structured setting we operate two medical group homes with round-the-clock, on-site nursing care. Two other group homes are available for individuals who do not require this level of care. We also provide a day treatment and training program where group home patients and others can receive therapeutic, psycho-social and educational assistance. To further assist the families of our clients, short-term housing is available on the campus at Hacienda in South Phoenix, which they may use while visiting their children and while receiving training in providing care for them at home.
Hacienda HealthCare also offers acute and sub-acute care hospital services for pediatric patients at Los Niños Hospital, located at 24th Street and Thomas Road in Phoenix. Los Niños is a 15-bed facility providing transitional, step-down and rehabilitative care to patients in a homelike atmosphere. Los Niños’ Home Ventilator and Therapy Services programs and Innovative Home Health Care extend the continuum of care beyond the hospital and into the patient’s home.
The Hacienda Skilled Nursing Facility, a nursing facility designed for infants, children, and young adults, is located on the campus of Hacienda. This facility provides age-appropriate residential care and services for individuals who require skilled nursing care, either short or long-term, and who have up till now been forced into long-term care settings for the elderly. The Hacienda Skilled Nursing Facility is the first of its kind in Arizona and is another example of our commitment to addressing the unmet health care needs of infants, children and young adults in our community."
