handiCAPABLE Guide Service, Inc is a nonprofit, public charity corporation that provides the developmentally delayed and physically challenged youth and adults in Kentucky and surrounding states the opportunity to experience boating, fishing, and other forms of outdoor recreation.
handiCAPABLE Guide Service, Inc. was born in 1991 from a dream of Marcus Gough, a 16 year old boy with terminal Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, and Noel Dillard, a tournament fisherman and licensed guide, who saw the need to help the disabled and developmentally delayed children and adults enjoy their lives. handiCAPABLE received its 501(c)(3) public charity status in recreational rehabilitation from the IRS in September 1994.
handiCAPABLE Guide Service, Inc. is dedicated to educating and rehabilitating through recreation. We provide the developmentally delayed and physically challenged youth and adults in Kentucky and surrounding states the opportunity to experience the thrills and challenges of boating, fishing, and other forms of outdoor recreation.
