Child Loss Grief Support Group:
This support group was established for individuals who have suffered the loss of a child. Grief touches us all differently. A support group can help bring people together to learn from others who have experienced a similar loss. When you talk with others that have also lost a child, they have a better understanding than those that have not.
The support group will provide an opportunity to talk about your child and your feelings, and is a place to speak freely, knowing that you wont be judged and that what you say is confidential. Information on grief will be available, but the main emphasis will be on supporting each other through this life changing event. If you have experienced the loss of a child of any age, please feel free to join us. You may be a parent, grandparent, aunt or uncle. The support group meets on a monthly basis, usually the fourth Thursday of the month, in the lower level of Commnity Physicians Clinic. Meetings begin at 7:00 PM and generally last an hour.

Swing Bed:
Patients in our Swing Bed Program stay on the medical wing and may not even move to a different room. The same staff that cared for them during the acute phases of their illness or recovery will continue caring for them as a swing bed patient. Even if the patient had surgery or was hospitalized elsewhere, they can transfer from that facility to CMH to receive their swing bed care. The CMH Swing Bed Program provides the care needed close to home in preparation to return home. Patients in the program continue to be seen by their physician who works with the healthcare team to determine their needs. The CMH Care Plan Team meets on Tuesdays at 11:30 AM in the patients room and encourages family members or friends to attend according to the patients wishes.
