A Helping Hand was established as a nonprofit in Chapel Hill, NC in 1995 to provide support services to older adults, filling an unmet need by providing access healthcare. A Helping Hand serves older adults 65+ years of age. Younger adults who have a temporary or ongoing need due to accident, illness, injury or disability may also receive our services. Services are provided seven days a week/24 hours a day through our private pay program. Our charitable program subsidizes those who are unable to afford the private pay program and is subject to the availability of grants and/or volunteers.
