Hope Community Resources – Kenai / Soldotna Region

The Hope Community and Recreation Center is what sets Hope apart from other service providers on the Kenai peninsula.  Opened in 2007, the center serves as a welcoming, respectful and inclusive environment for not only people who experience disabilities, but also for all people who want to be a part of the community. The center is a hub for many inclusive activities such as yoga, cooking classes, self-defense classes, dances, and gardening, along with community functions.  We just completed the addition of office space to the center and now all of our services are located in one central location.

Provides supports to children with complex medical conditions, enabling them to remain at home, within the community of their choice.  The region currently provides extensive supports to 17 children with complex medical conditions.

Hope currently owns and supports three single-family homes in the Kenai Peninsula Region and assists seven family habilitation providers, but the majority of their services, 80%, are focused on natural family services.

Areas served:  Soldotna, Kenai, Homer, Sterling, Nikiski, Kasilof, Ninilchik, and Clam Gulch
