Hope Community Resources – Kodiak / Aleutians Region
The Kodiak/Aleutian Chain Region is a year-round playground of sorts. Because of its fairly mild weather and abundance of outdoor activities, this region is able to offer a very extensive year-round recreation and subsistence program. Outdoor activities range from kayaking, camping and skiing to fishing, hunting, crabbing and berry picking. Indoor activities include bowling, movies, swimming, arts and crafts projects, karaoke, cooking and potlucks. Many of these activities involve community volunteers and donated services. In recognition of the community support they receive, the Kodiak group gives back to the community through numerous volunteer opportunities throughout the year.
Services provided: Hope owns and operates one assisted living home and an apartment cluster supporting independent and semi-independent living needs. The majority of their services are centered around independent and natural family supports.
Areas Served: City of Kodiak, Kodiak Borough, Kodiak Island Villages, Dutch Harbor, Unalaska, Pribilof Islands and Aleutian Chair
