Hospital, Stevens County (KS)
Stevens County Hospital became a Critical Access Hospital in May 2001. Providing compassionate health care to Hugoton and the surrounding communities, Stevens County Hospital employs very competent medical staff and professional hospital service providers. We believe in community wellness, and strive to meet the community's health care needs in a fiscally responsible manner. Services provided include:
Acute Care Unit – Contains 15 acute care beds and ten swing beds. These are private beds including isolation rooms for infectious diseases. Visiting hours are from 9a-9p.
Dietary – A registered dietitian is available for inpatient and outpatient nutritional counseling. The cafeteria is open 7 days a week and serves 3 delicious meals a day.

DME – Stevens County Home Oxygen and Equipment provides home oxygen and equipment to assist with activities of daily living. This includes walkers, canes, wheelchairs, bathroom assistant devices and much more. They also have hospital uniforms and accessories.
Emergency Department – 24 hours/day physician coverage available. Trauma, cardiac emergency as well as non-emergency cases are handled promptly and efficiently.
Home Health – Complete line of services available to patients at home including skilled nursing, nursing assistants, physical therapy, diabetic care and wound care.
Laboratory – Laboratory testing includes inpatients and outpatients. A full array of laboratory testing is available including blood bank and microbiology. Services are available 24 hours/day.
Physical Therapy – Our physical therapist and physical therapy assistant provide inpatient, outpatient and home health patients with therapy as prescribed by their physicians.

Stevens County Medical Clinic:
The clinic is attached to the hospital. The Rural Health Clinic offers full service family care with same day appointments. The services offered, but not limited to, include: Internal Medicine, Woman's Health, Prenatal Care, Children (newborn – adolescence) and Health Exams (annual, sports, work, driver). We specialize in chronic management of: Diabetes mellitus, Asthma, Geriatric care, High blood pressure, High cholesterol, Adolescence problems, Thyroid Gland problems, Anxiety, Depression and Fibromyalgia.
