Provides access to year round activities for children and adults with disabilities through the Adaptive Recreation Division The Adaptive Recreation Division is housed at the Metropolitan Multi-Service Center , 1475 West Gray. In addition to providing activities, the Metropolitan Multi-Service Center also partners with organizations that serve children and adults with disabilities. The Adaptive Recreation staff knows that, after learning new skills and redefining their abilities, participants are able to feel the freedom of recreating. The Houston Parks and Recreation Department operates and maintains 38 outdoor swimming pools for the enjoyment of Houstonians of all ages. In addition, the Adaptive Recreation Division operates a heated indoor natatorium for citizens with disabilities to get exercise, physical therapy, and recreation, located at the Metropolitan Multi-Service Center, 1475 West Gray.
